The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or risk management and has at least six years’ experience underwriting complex commercial risks across industries.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
• Proven ability to underwrite complex commercial risks across various industries.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, legal requirements, and market conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate and underwrite a diverse range of commercial insurance applications, including property, casualty, and liability.
• Analyze financial statements, business operations, and risk exposures to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents, providing expert advice and support.
• Set and manage underwriting authorities and guidelines within defined risk appetite.
• Monitor the performance of the commercial lines portfolio, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the claims department to ensure seamless policy lifecycle management.
• Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in commercial insurance.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of underwriting tools and processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of policy documentation.
• Assist in the training and development of junior underwriting staff.
