Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Legal Advisor specializing in Commercial Contracts to join its remote team, supporting operations primarily in the Eastern Cape region. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial agreements while providing clear legal guidance to internal stakeholders.

Admitted Attorney or qualified legal professional with at least 4 years of commercial contract experience is required.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or qualified legal professional with a minimum of 4 years of experience focused on commercial contract law.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating diverse commercial agreements.
• Thorough understanding of contract law principles and regulatory requirements in South Africa.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and assess legal risks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote client interaction.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including sales agreements, service level agreements, and supply chain contracts.
• Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation, compliance, and risk management to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and standardization of contract templates and legal clauses.
• Conduct legal research to support contract negotiations and advise on relevant legal developments.
• Manage contract lifecycle processes, ensuring all agreements are properly documented and executed.
• Liaise with external counsel on complex contractual matters or litigation as required.
