Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Associate to join our global operations team. This fully remote role will support clinical trials from anywhere in South Africa, with responsibilities across site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out to ensure data integrity and patient safety.

Ideal candidates hold a life science degree and 3–5 years CRA experience, with strong knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and proficiency in CTMS/EDC tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with GCP and ICH guidelines in clinical trials.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and complex protocols independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits (selection, initiation, monitoring, close-out) per protocol and SOPs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with GCP, ICH and local rules.
• Verify data integrity via source data verification.
• Train site staff on protocol requirements and data collection.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned sites; escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare monitoring reports and communicate findings to management.
