Placements24 is seeking a Clinical Aromatherapist to join a Durban-based research and development team focused on formulating essential oil blends for natural health and beauty products. The role requires a strong scientific background, plant-based medicine knowledge, and a passion for innovative product development.

The successful candidate will work on GMP-compliant formulations, conduct research into essential oils, and collaborate with the product team to bring concepts to market.

Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Aromatherapist qualification from a recognized professional body.
• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Botany, or related scientific field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical aromatherapy or natural product formulation experience.
• Proven track record in developing natural cosmetic or therapeutic products.
• Strong understanding of organic chemistry, phytochemistry, and extraction methods.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cosmetic and health products.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for natural health and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative aromatherapy formulations for skincare and therapeutic products.
