Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Civil Engineer to lead critical infrastructure projects from a home office, focusing on sustainable and efficient design and delivery nationwide.

You will oversee conceptual and detailed designs for roads, water systems and wastewater, run feasibility studies, prepare plans and cost estimates, ensure standards and safety compliance, manage timelines and budgets, and mentor junior engineers across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering with infrastructure focus.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA or eligible.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, HEC-RAS.
• Experience leading remote, distributed teams.
• Strong project management and risk assessment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee conceptualization and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including but not limited to roads, water supply systems, and wastewater management.
• Conduct comprehensive site assessments and feasibility studies, coordinating with local contacts or leveraging available data.
• Develop and review project plans, technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for various infrastructure initiatives.
• Ensure all designs comply with national and international engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with remote teams and external consultants.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff remotely.
