Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Brand Communications Specialist to shape and disseminate our client’s brand narrative across all channels. This fully remote role requires crafting messages, managing public perception, and ensuring brand consistency.

You will develop communication strategies, execute campaigns, manage media relations, and collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams from anywhere in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in brand communications, corporate communications, or public relations.
• Proven ability to develop and execute effective communication strategies.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in managing media relations and crafting compelling brand narratives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communication plans to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
• Create and manage brand messaging, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.
• Write and edit press releases, speeches, website content, social media posts, and internal memos.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align communication efforts with business objectives.
• Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in development and execution of crisis communication plans.
• Organize and coordinate communication-related events and initiatives.
• Analyze effectiveness of communication strategies and provide recommendations.
