Placements24 is seeking a Blockchain Security Engineer for a remote role with a leading crypto exchange platform. You will safeguard smart contracts, DApps, and blockchain infrastructure, perform audits, and build proactive defense measures in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll collaborate with global teams to embed security into the SDLC, respond to incidents, and stay ahead of threats with cutting-edge tooling and best practices. This is a high-impact, remote-first opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on blockchain and smart contract security.
• Proficiency in auditing Solidity smart contracts.
• Experience with security analysis tools and techniques for blockchain networks.
• Knowledge of common blockchain vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflow).
• Familiarity with cryptography principles and their blockchain applications.
• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
• Strong understanding of network security and web application security.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security audits and penetration testing on smart contracts, DApps, and blockchain protocols.
• Identify vulnerabilities, exploits, and security risks in the blockchain ecosystem.
• Develop and implement robust security measures, including secure coding practices and threat modeling.
• Design and deploy security tools and frameworks for monitoring and alerting on suspicious activities.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents with detailed analysis and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and attack vectors in the blockchain space.
• Contribute to the development of security policies and procedures.
• Educate internal teams on blockchain security best practices.
