Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Biostatistician to join a global pharmaceutical research organization. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere in South Africa, focusing on design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trial data with rigorous statistical standards and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Biostatistician in pharma/biotech with hands-on programming.
• Proficiency in SAS (Base/Stat/Macro) or R for analysis and data manipulation.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design SAPs for clinical trials with development teams.
• Program and validate statistical analyses using SAS or R.
• Analyze clinical trial data for efficacy, safety, and exploratory endpoints.
• Prepare statistical reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure adherence to ICH guidelines and company SOPs.
• Collaborate with data management, clinical operations, and medical writing.
• Assist in study design, sample size calculations, and protocol development.
• Review statistical outputs and stay current with methodologies.
