Placements24 seeks a remote Aircraft Systems Specialist to join a globally distributed engineering team, supporting operations based in Cape Town from anywhere. You will provide expert remote diagnostics, analysis, and solutions for complex aircraft systems to ensure fleet reliability and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, at least 7 years in aircraft systems, and strong communication skills to coordinate with on-site teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in aircraft systems engineering or maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues remotely.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert-level technical support for design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft systems (avionics, electrical, propulsion).
• Analyze aircraft performance data and maintenance logs to identify trends and predict failures.
• Develop and document procedures, service bulletins, and repair schemes for maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product support, and vendors to solve technical challenges.
• Use remote diagnostics tools to monitor aircraft health and performance in real time.
