About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Remote Aviation Safety Manager to lead and enhance their safety management systems from anywhere in the world. You will be instrumental in risk assessment, hazard identification, and the implementation of preventative measures across all operational facets. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with SACAA and international standards.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, hazard identification, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee incident investigation processes, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Promote a positive safety culture through communication, training, and engagement across all departments.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report on key safety indicators to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in aviation safety management, operations, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles and implementation.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations (SACAA, ICAO, etc.) and safety best practices.
• Proven experience in risk management, incident investigation, and trend analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, crucial for managing a remote team and stakeholders.
