About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Remote Aviation Safety Analyst to join their globally distributed team, supporting operations initially managed from the Tembisa region. This role is pivotal in identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks across various aviation operations. You will be responsible for analyzing safety data, investigating incidents, and developing proactive safety management strategies to enhance the overall safety performance. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret aviation safety data from various sources to identify trends, hazards, and potential risks.
- Conduct thorough investigations of safety occurrences, incidents, and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems (SMS) and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive safety reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics for management review.
- Facilitate safety training programs and promote a strong safety culture among all stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of evolving aviation safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging safety technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aviation safety, risk management, or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, national CAAs) and safety management systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with strong report writing skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
