Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Aviation Communications Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize critical air-ground and satellite networks. You will work across ACARS, SatCom, IP-based links, and voice systems, contributing to safety and efficiency of global flight ops.

You will apply a deep understanding of aviation protocols, network design, and cybersecurity to deliver robust, scalable solutions in a fully remote, international team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex communication systems, with aviation focus.
• Strong understanding of aviation communication protocols and standards (ACARS, CPDLC, AMHS, VoIP, P25).
• Experience with satellite communications and ground station integration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy aviation communication systems.
• Specify and select hardware and software components for communication networks.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot systems including VHF, HF, SatCom, ACARS, and IP-based networks.
• Develop technical documentation such as system designs and network diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, ARINC, EUROCAE standards.
