You will guide multi-disciplinary teams across electrification, ADAS, connectivity, and cybersecurity, ensuring scalable, safe, and reliable designs while mentoring engineers in a remote setting. This global impact role is based in South Africa and supports remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in automotive systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a systems architect role.
• Proven track record architecting complex automotive electronic and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall architecture for automotive electronic systems and software.
• Oversee the integration of subsystems (powertrain, chassis, ADAS, infotainment, connectivity).
• Translate product requirements into detailed architecture specifications.
• Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and standards for automotive systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers to ensure architectural integrity.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks and dependencies.
• Develop roadmaps for future architectures considering trends and tech.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure architecture supports safety, security, performance, and reliability.
