Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Production Systems Engineer with a strong focus on automation. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining automated production systems to boost efficiency, quality, and safety across manufacturing processes.

You will program PLCs/HMI/SCADA, work with robotics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while delivering remote support and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Experience with industrial robotics (KUKA, Fanuc, ABB).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated control systems for manufacturing processes.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including electrical schematics, P&IDs, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors on automation projects.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure functionality and performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and implement new technologies.
• Provide remote technical support and training to plant operations teams.
• Stay current with advancements in automation technology, robotics, and IIoT.
• Ensure all implemented systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
