Placements24 is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer for a remote role based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for diverse industrial applications, collaborating with clients and internal teams to optimize control solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency in programming PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA software.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Experience with process control, robotics and motion control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Design, program, and commission PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Develop and maintain control system software for reliability and efficiency.
