This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to client sites across South Africa, offering flexibility and exposure to diverse sectors.

You will work with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Omron platforms, integrate ERP connections, and develop robust technical documentation while ensuring safety standards and project deadlines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 4–6 years of industrial automation experience.
• Proficiency in PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens S7, Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA software development (e.g., WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Ignition).
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for various industrial applications.
• Program industrial controllers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron) and develop user-friendly interfaces.
• Configure and commission variable speed drives (VSDs), servo motors, and other motion control components.
• Integrate automation systems with plant-wide networks and ERP systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot automation and control system issues.
• Develop technical documentation, including design specifications, programming code, and user manuals.
• Conduct site surveys, needs assessments, and develop automation strategies for clients.
• Ensure all automation solutions comply with relevant safety standards and industry best practices.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support and training to clients and end-users.
• Stay abreast of new automation technologies and industry trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems into broader projects.
• Optimize existing automation processes for improved efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
