Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote Architectural Designer to join our international urban design practice. Based conceptually in Randburg, Gauteng, the role is fully remote, enabling work from anywhere while contributing to master plans and sustainable urban projects.

You will lead conceptual designs, perform spatial analyses, and collaborate with planners, engineers, and policymakers across time zones. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and GIS is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on urban design and master planning.
• Portfolio of urban design and planning projects required.
• Experience working remotely or in distributed teams is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop conceptual architectural designs and master plans for urban development projects.
• Conduct spatial analysis, site assessments and feasibility studies for urban planning initiatives.

About the Role

Our client, an international urban design and planning consultancy, is seeking a talented and innovative Remote Architectural Designer to join their global team, focusing on projects that shape sustainable and vibrant urban environments. While based conceptually in Randburg, Gauteng, this position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural design with a keen interest and proven ability in urban planning, master planning, and sustainable development strategies. You will contribute to conceptual design, spatial analysis, and the development of master plans for complex urban regeneration projects, new developments, and public realm improvements worldwide. Requirements

• A Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with a significant focus on urban design and master planning.
• Proficiency in architectural and urban design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) and data visualization tools is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative and implementable urban design solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong graphic and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Proven experience working effectively in remote or distributed teams.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
