Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Aircraft Technical Writer to join its global team. You will create and maintain maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and operation guides for various aircraft platforms, translating complex technical information into clear, accurate documentation.

This fully remote role requires excellent written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and SMEs to ensure content meets aviation standards and regulatory

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in aviation or aerospace.
• Ability to translate complex aircraft information into clear documentation.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, and CMS tools.
• Strong English grammar and writing standards.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance procedures and regulatory norms.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Author, revise, and edit technical documentation for aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and source data to produce user-friendly publications.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and SMEs to validate content.
• Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards, style guides, and regulations.
• Manage revision control and publication workflows using authoring tools.
• Develop content for digital platforms, PDF, and IETMs.
