Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aircraft performance engineering or related discipline.
• Proven expertise in aerodynamics, propulsion, flight dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• Strong experience with performance modeling software and tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python, specialized aerospace software).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computational skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze aircraft performance data (e.g., fuel burn, speed, altitude, climb/descent rates) to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and validate aircraft performance models using aerodynamic and thermodynamic principles.
• Optimize flight plans and operational procedures to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and simulations for aircraft performance enhancements and new technologies.
• Provide technical consultancy to clients on aircraft performance-related matters.
• Collaborate with a global team of engineers, data scientists, and consultants through virtual platforms.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in aircraft performance engineering, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of proprietary performance analysis software and tools.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all performance calculations and predictions.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field with a specialization in flight mechanics or performance.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aircraft performance engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven expertise in aircraft aerodynamics, propulsion systems, flight dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• Strong experience with performance modeling software and tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python for scientific computing, specialized aerospace software).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is a plus.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations related to performance (e.g., ICAO, FAA, EASA) is desirable.
