Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Research Scientist to lead AI/ML research in healthcare, from concept to deployment. The role emphasizes developing models for diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient outcomes in a remote, distributed team.

You will collaborate with clinicians and data scientists, publish results, and contribute to IP generation while mentoring junior researchers in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, Biomedical Informatics, or related field.
• At least 7 years of AI/ML research experience with healthcare focus.
• Expertise with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Strong Python skills and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with diverse healthcare data (EHR, DICOM).
• Solid statistics, model evaluation, and experimental design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration, remote work experience.
• Track record of publications in AI/ML or medical informatics.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate advanced AI/ML models for healthcare.
• Analyze large healthcare datasets including EHR and imaging.
• Collaborate with clinicians to translate research questions.
