Job summary

Psybergate (Pty) Ltd is seeking an AI Product Manager to identify and prioritise AI opportunities, translate requirements into features, and own AI product roadmaps. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and engineers to evaluate models, define data requirements, and establish success criteria across discovery, pilots, and releases.

You will drive adoption, governance, and ROI analyses while coordinating budgets, stakeholders, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business Science, or related field.
• Relevant AI certifications (e.g., Microsoft AI, Claude Associate, OpenAI, AWS, Google).
• Experience in Product Management, Product Discovery, Business Analysis, or SDLC practices.
• Experience in requirements elicitation, user story development, solution design, roadmap development, and backlog prioritisation.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile delivery methodologies and cross‑functional product delivery.
• Foundational to intermediate knowledge of AI, ML, and Generative AI.
• Experience with data‑driven products, including data quality, governance, data modelling, and data readiness for AI/analytics.
• Experience supporting pilots, PoCs, A/B testing, and model evaluation frameworks.
• Proficiency in analytics and performance measurement tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Azure Monitor, Application Insights.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, AI governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and ethical AI practices.
• Experience developing business cases, financial models, ROI assessments, cost‑benefit analyses, and pricing strategies for digital/AI products.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to business audiences.
• Experience supporting change management, user adoption, and product value realisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise AI opportunities based on business value, user needs, feasibility, data readiness, cost, and risk.
• Develop business cases and translate requirements into features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs.
• Define and maintain AI product roadmaps from discovery to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Researchers, Architects, and Engineering teams to evaluate AI models.
• Define data requirements, quality standards, access constraints, and readiness criteria for AI use cases.
• Establish model and product evaluation frameworks with metrics, baselines, testing, and release criteria.
• Monitor product performance, adoption, quality, costs, and outcomes to drive improvements.
• Coordinate Responsible AI, governance, risk, security, privacy, legal, and compliance requirements.
• Develop product positioning, pricing approaches, cost models, and ROI assessments for AI products.
• Drive user adoption, training, change management, and benefit realisation while managing budgets and stakeholders.
