Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an AI Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role focused on production systems over training models, enabling scalable automation across the org.

You will collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to transform documented roadmaps into shipped workflows. Experience building with LLMs is essential, and the role supports remote work for Latin America and South Africa.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship internal automation roadmap from documented plan to production systems.
• Build production automation workflows using agent frameworks and AI APIs.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
