Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Agronomist Specialist to support agricultural operations nationwide in South Africa. This fully remote role leverages soil science, crop physiology, and sustainable practices to analyze data and deliver tailored recommendations via digital tools.

You will guide farmers toward improved yields, resource management, and innovative solutions, with opportunities for professional development and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in agronomy or crop advisory services.
• Proficiency in data analysis and use of precision agriculture tools.
• Excellent communication and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote analysis of soil samples, crop health data, and environmental factors.
• Develop customized agronomic recommendations for fertilization, irrigation, pest management, and crop rotation.
• Provide expert guidance and technical support via virtual channels.
• Stay abreast of research and best practices in agronomy and sustainable agriculture.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on crop performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement agronomic solutions.
