Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in data science with agricultural focus.
• Proficiency in Python or R with key libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Strong statistics, ML, and experimental design.
• Experience with crop modeling tools (DSSAT, APSIM).
• Familiarity with GIS and remote sensing data analysis.
• Excellent communication and remote work abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate predictive crop models using ML and statistics.
• Analyze large-scale datasets including weather, soil, satellite imagery, and yields.
• Identify patterns to assess crop performance and risk factors.
• Develop visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with domain experts to define data requirements and approaches.
