• Develop, implement, and maintain statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze agricultural data, predict crop yields, and identify optimal farming strategies.
• Process, clean, and integrate large, complex datasets from various sources, including IoT sensors, drones, satellite imagery, and weather stations.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate models and assess their impact on farm performance.
• Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including agronomists and farm managers.
• Collaborate with software engineers to deploy models into production environments and develop data-driven agricultural tools.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agronomy with a strong quantitative focus, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant portfolio of projects involving large datasets and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with agricultural practices, crop science, or precision farming concepts is highly desirable.
