Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with a strong focus on precision agriculture.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in precision agriculture, data analysis, or GIS applications in an agricultural context.
• Proven expertise in analyzing agricultural datasets using tools such as R, Python, ArcGIS, or QGIS.
• Strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and agronomic principles.
• Experience with IoT sensors, drone data processing, and satellite imagery analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets from precision agriculture sources (GPS, sensors, drones, satellite imagery).
• Develop and interpret spatial data maps for variable rate application of inputs (fertilizers, water, pesticides).
• Provide remote technical support and guidance to farmers on implementing precision agriculture technologies.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in crop management based on data analysis.
• Develop customized reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with technology providers to test and integrate new precision agriculture tools.
• Stay current with advancements in precision agriculture, remote sensing, and data analytics.
• Assist in the design and configuration of data collection systems for client farms.
• Troubleshoot issues related to data collection and analysis platforms.
• Contribute to the development of best practices for data management and utilization in agriculture.
