Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Aerospace Systems Analyst to join a globally distributed engineering team. This fully remote role focuses on design, integration, and testing of complex aerospace systems from a home office in South Africa.

You will analyze performance, develop simulation models, and collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers via virtual platforms. A strong remote-work track record and STEM credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aerospace systems analysis, simulation, or related engineering disciplines.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar.
• Strong understanding of aerospace system principles, including aerodynamics, propulsion, control systems, and avionics.
• Demonstrated experience with requirements management tools and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time in a remote setting.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation from test campaigns or simulations.
• Familiarity with systems engineering principles (e.g., MBSE, V-model).
• Ability to collaborate within a distributed, international team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of aerospace system requirements, design specifications, and performance metrics.
• Develop and implement simulation models and analytical tools to evaluate system behavior under various conditions.
• Identify and document system anomalies, performance degradation, and potential failure modes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams via virtual platforms to ensure seamless system integration.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation detailing analysis findings and recommendations.
• Participate in virtual design reviews, offering expert insights on system architecture and performance.
• Support validation and verification of aerospace systems through data analysis and simulation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical methodologies and tools.
• Maintain knowledge of aerospace technologies and industry standards.
• Manage assigned tasks and projects within established timelines in a remote setting.
