Account Manager

Our client is a provider of psychometric assessment solutions focused on small to medium-sized businesses.

They are seeking an experienced Account Manager in South Africa to join their dynamic team.

While leads will be provided via marketing and the SDR, the successful candidate must build their own pipeline to ensure new business acquisition.

Roles and Responsibilities :
  • Engage and build relationships with senior (HR) executives within medium and large enterprise businesses to drive sales outcomes in South Africa.
  • Present the company's solutions in a tailored manner that aligns with each potential client's unique business context and goals.
  • Achieve annual booking targets by adhering to quarterly pacing and successful delivery.
  • Proactively pursue new leads within the assigned account territory, including personal outreach efforts to engage key prospects.
  • Collaborate with the regional sales team and cross-functional peers to share knowledge and develop best practices.
  • Develop and own an individualized Business Development plan.
  • Access new prospects within the target Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to expand the customer base.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Work closely with the local SDR to create account plans addressing client needs.
  • Coordinate with the customer marketing team to align campaigns with customer needs.
  • Provide customer insights to support product development of top-tier solutions.
Requirements
  • Background in Psychology / HR is advantageous.
  • Results-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Experience selling to the mid-market segment.
  • Excellent communicator with C-level executives, especially in virtual settings.
  • Experience selling to decision-makers in mid-sized and large organizations.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM, including forecasting.
  • Successful track record in selling SaaS solutions.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.

Compensation includes a base salary between R - R per annum with an OTC of 75% of the base. Other benefits include holiday entitlement, employee referral scheme, early finish Fridays, personalized feedback sessions, dress code policies, and access to various wellness and support programs.
