Placements24 is seeking a talented Remote 2D Concept Artist to join a dynamic mobile game studio. You will create character, environment, prop, and UI concepts, shaping the visual identity of upcoming projects.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong fundamentals, and collaboration within a distributed team. You will develop mood boards, iterate on designs with feedback from the art director, and prepare assets for hand-off to modelers or UI teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a 2D concept artist with a game art portfolio.
• Proficiency in digital painting tools such as Photoshop, Procreate, or similar.
• Strong grasp of character and environment design, illustration principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with game development pipelines and UI/UX concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D concept art for characters, environments, props, and UI elements.
• Develop visual styles and mood boards for new game projects.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from art directors and design teams.
• Collaborate with other artists to ensure visual consistency across the project.
• Prepare concepts for hand-off to 3D modelers or UI implementation.
