Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Villa Manager / Relief Lodge Manager to oversee the operations of a luxurious game lodge. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and staff management.

POSITION INFO :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily operations of the lodge / villa, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards and responding promptly to guest feedback and requests.
  • Supervise and support lodge staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee financial aspects, including budgeting, expense control, and revenue management.
  • Maintain lodge facilities and grounds to uphold safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic standards.
  • Implement and enforce lodge policies and procedures to maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Act as a relief manager for the lodge manager during absences or as needed.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in a similar lodge or villa setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, capable of handling various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
  • Knowledge of wildlife and conservation practices (preferred for game lodges).
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as per lodge operations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous.
