Our esteemed client seeks a Quality Assurance & Reliability Engineer to join their team in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. The role targets mechanically qualified professionals with a strong background in maintenance and reliability engineering, focused on improving plant performance across sectors such as mining, steel, and energy.

You will manage the NCR database, lead RCA investigations, apply 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and FTA methods, and help develop maintenance strategies to boost reliability and reduce

Qualifications

• Mechanically qualified professional with strong maintenance and reliability engineering background.
• Experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the NCR database.
• Schedule, coordinate, and conduct NCR investigations and audits.
• Lead RCA investigations for machine failures and deviations.
• Apply RCA methods: 5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams, FTA.
• Record failures, corrective actions, and next steps.
• Collaborate with maintenance to identify reliability improvements.
• Develop maintenance strategies where formal plans are absent.
• Perform and facilitate FMEA and FMECA studies.
• Review and optimize maintenance strategies to boost plant reliability.
