Our esteemed client seeks a Quality Assurance & Reliability Engineer to join their team in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. The role targets mechanically qualified professionals with a strong background in maintenance and reliability engineering, focused on improving plant performance across sectors such as mining, steel, and energy.

Responsibilities

+ Manage and maintain the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) database.
+ Schedule, coordinate, and conduct internal NCR investigations and audits.
+ Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for machine failures and operational deviations.
+ Apply RCA methodologies including 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and other problem-solving techniques.
+ Record failures, corrective actions, and recommended next steps.
+ Work closely with the Maintenance Department to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
+ Develop maintenance strategies for equipment where formal strategies do not exist.
+ Conduct and facilitate FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis) studies.
+ Review and optimize existing maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability and equipment performance.
