Job description

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Engineering degree (B.Eng., Industrial / Mechanical)
• At least 3 years of experience as a reliability engineer in an industrial / mining environment
• Experience in water treatment equipment is an advantage
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, RCM principles, CMMS systems, Maintenance Planning, and data analysis
• Computer literacy and own transport

In addition, the successful candidate should be:

• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Capable of multitasking
• Ability to work under pressure
• Proactive team worker capable of working independently

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Enhancing overall reliability and availability of operations and maintenance contracts
• Providing maintenance and equipment expertise
• Analyzing equipment failure data and conducting Root Cause Analyses with maintenance teams
• Developing and implementing procedures to increase reliability
• Understanding maintenance costs, developing budgets, and forecasting
• Participating in design reviews to improve reliability of new plant/equipment
• Participating in HAZOP studies to improve plant maintainability
• Tracking plant maintenance KPIs and utilizing CMMS data to inform strategies
• Providing leadership to improve maintenance activities, strategies, and tactics
• Analyzing data to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness
