Qualifications

RELIABILITY & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - PAARL / JHB

Job Description:

Reporting to the Group Operations Strategy Manager, this position is responsible for providing effective support to the Operations & Maintenance teams. The role involves applying technical expertise and implementing appropriate actions to ensure efficient maintenance activities and enhance overall plant reliability.

CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Enhance the overall reliability and availability of Operation and Maintenance contracts

Provide maintenance and equipment expertise

Analyse equipment failure data and conduct Root Cause Analyses with Maintenance Teams

Develop and implement procedures and processes to increase reliability

Understand the cost of equipment maintenance and develop reliable budgets and forecasts

Participate in design reviews to improve reliability of new plant/equipment

Participate in HAZOP studies to improve maintainability of plants/equipment

Track plant maintenance KPIs and use data from CMMS to inform strategies and tactics

Provide leadership to enhance maintenance activities, strategies, and tactics

Analyse data to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Maintenance Departments

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Engineering degree (B.Eng Industrial or Mechanical)

More than 3 years experience as a reliability engineer in an industrial or mining environment

Experience with water treatment equipment is an advantage

Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and RCM principles

Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and data analysis
