Job description

Our client, a leader in advanced technology systems for defence and security, is urgently seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join their Industrialisation Department.

This high-impact role is ideal for a technically strong professional with a passion for safety performance and reliability testing across a variety of mission-critical products.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Senior Reliability Engineer, you will lead all reliability testing activities, including EMC environmental stress testing and HALT testing.

The role involves close collaboration with internal design teams, oversight of qualification and compliance processes, and leadership of a small reliability engineering team.

Your expertise will help ensure that products meet the highest safety, legal, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead reliability testing (Environmental EMC HALT ESS) in compliance with MILSTD, ISO, IEC, and other applicable standards.

Provide technical input during the design phase to ensure product compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

Conduct failure investigations using Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.

Draft and manage qualification plans aligned with legal, contractual, and internal standards.

Serve as the designated Systems Safety Engineer, ensuring safety is prioritized across the entire product lifecycle.

Prepare and issue compliance documentation (ROHS / REACH, safety, and third-party certificates).

Develop and implement internal processes for compliance and environmental stress testing.

Lead and mentor a team of reliability engineers and technicians.

Consult with internal stakeholders (engineering, product development, sales, and manufacturing) on reliability and compliance matters.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSc / BEng), preferably with honours.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in reliability engineering, including EMC, environmental, and HALT / HASS testing.

Deep understanding of ISO, IEC, MILSTD, ROHS, REACH, and EU safety directives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on skills.

Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams.

Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.

Experience drafting and executing qualification and testing plans.
