Qualifications

Job description

Reporting to the Group Operations Strategy Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the Operations & Maintenance teams by providing technical expertise and implementing actions to ensure efficient maintenance activities and improve plant reliability.

CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Enhance the overall reliability and availability of the Operation and Maintenance contracts.
• Provide maintenance and equipment expertise.
• Analyze equipment failure data and conduct Root Cause Analyses with maintenance teams.
• Develop and implement procedures to increase reliability.
• Understand equipment maintenance costs and develop reliable budgets and forecasts.
• Participate in design reviews to improve the reliability of new plant/equipment.
• Participate in HAZOP studies to enhance plant/equipment maintainability.
• Track plant maintenance KPIs and utilize CMMS data to inform strategies.
• Provide leadership to improve maintenance activities, strategies, and tactics.
• Analyze data to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Maintenance Department.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Engineering degree (B.Eng Industrial/Mechanical).
• More than 3 years of experience as a reliability engineer in an industrial/mining environment.
• Experience with water treatment equipment is an advantage.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, RCM principles.
• Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, and data analysis.
• Computer literacy.
• Must be a fast learner and able to work with minimal supervision.

Own transport is required.
