Job summary

Absa is seeking a Senior Portfolio Lead to drive integrated delivery across multiple Scrum teams within the Digital Business Bank portfolio. You will own alignment, planning, governance and transparent reporting to the CIO, fostering lean-agile practices and value delivery.

You will coordinate investment planning, manage dependencies, and guide cross-team execution while maintaining enterprise alignment and strong governance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Senior multi-team delivery and portfolio-office experience required.
Strong scaled-agile and lean portfolio skills required.
SAFe certification and IT fundamental credentials are mandatory.

Job description

Lead the integrated delivery system across multiple scrum teams
Operate the internal technology portfolio office for Digital Business Bank on behalf of the CIO
Own alignment, flow, dependency management, planning, governance and transparent portfolio insight
Maintain a single prioritised view of outcomes, funding, capacity, dependencies, risks and decisions
Facilitate integrated planning and execution across agile teams, platforms and enabling functions
Run cadences for planning, system reviews, dependency management, risk resolution and continuous improvement
Coach leaders and teams in lean-agile behaviours, flow, outcome orientation and effective escalation
Create team autonomy while maintaining alignment to enterprise commitments and controls
Maintain authoritative portfolio data covering scope, milestones, investment, capacity, dependencies, risks and decisions
Design lean governance and decision-ready executive reporting
Coordinate investment planning, portfolio prioritisation, demand shaping and change control with key leaders
Use delivery data to identify bottlenecks, excessive WIP, ageing, capacity constraints and systemic risks
Drive resolution of cross-team dependencies and **escalate** constraints
Promote evidence-based delivery confidence, forecasting and value realisation
Integrate QA, architecture, security and operational assurance into delivery
Establish the mandate and baseline, publish the operating model and roadmap, improve governance and deliver visible portfolio outcomes in the first year

Requirements
