Job Purpose

To acquire and deliver banking solutions to the high value client segment (i.e., SBS; Professional / Financially affluent); by providing excellent client experiences and understanding client business and household banking needs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Acquire and deliver banking solutions to high-value clients, ensuring excellent client experiences and understanding their banking needs.
  2. Achieve targeted product and service delivery as measured through client management systems and contribution statements.
  3. Enhance client service by delivering relevant products and solutions tailored to client needs.
  4. Maintain and grow a portfolio of high-value, complex clients.
  5. Identify and execute on client sales and solution opportunities.
  6. Conduct thorough needs analysis across all client spheres of financial influence and ensure integration into Nedbank.
  7. Respond promptly to tasks and responsibilities in relevant systems.
  8. Build and sustain professional relationships with high-value clients through effective contact management.
  9. Provide banking solutions that meet client needs and understand their business, personal, and household requirements.
  10. Build trust and long-term relationships, positioning Nedbank as the preferred manager of their financial needs.
  11. Engage proactively with clients in a manner relevant to their circumstances.
  12. Collaborate with specialists to cross-sell and create value-based solutions.
  13. Ensure work complies with principles, processes, and procedures; review progress and take corrective actions when necessary.
  14. Adhere to risk standards, policies, and procedures through ongoing training and development.
  15. Facilitate client compliance with internal and regulatory standards, resolving obstacles and escalating issues as needed.
  16. Contribute to policy and process improvements using personal experience and insights.
  17. Understand and manage client expectations within the bank's risk and credit policies.
  18. Develop and implement new or improved processes to enhance stakeholder operations, highlighting benefits for buy-in.
  19. Follow internal procedures to fulfill client requirements effectively.
  20. Support business strategy, objectives, and values by aligning activities with Nedbank's plans and systems.
  21. Identify personal training and career development opportunities, completing activities within set timelines.
  22. Share knowledge and industry trends during formal and informal interactions.
  23. Participate in culture-building initiatives and corporate responsibility activities.
  24. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements to add value to Nedbank.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • A degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing (e.g., BCom) and a full FAIS qualification are required.

Minimum Experience Level

  • At least 5 years in a banking environment, with 2 years as a relationship banker.
