Job Description

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing their function, devising, implementing, and providing input into the customer relationship management strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Strategically and operationally manage and grow a portfolio of high revenue-generating clients:
  • Achieve the Net Income Return for the Business as defined in the Financial Performance Report.
  • Drive an increase in the average balance of specific portfolio assets and liabilities as defined in the Financial Performance Report.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions.
  • Manage existing clients and grow the portfolio by making contact and generating leads through the Net Promoter Tool.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, and provide proactive advice and solutions.
  • Manage the growth of the active customer account base to increase client numbers.
  • Maximize cross-sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Oversee account migration from transactional to self-service platforms.
  • Define a sales portfolio growth strategy aligned with annual targets, conducting competitor analysis and developing new value propositions.
  • Ensure effective data management, including attending to expired limits against set targets.
  • Prepare credit proposals for review by the Credit Product House.
  • Monitor and evaluate the organization's success in managing legal and compliance risks.
  • Provide accurate business intelligence and data trend analysis to support decision-making.
  • Manage personal development to enhance competencies.
  • Plan and manage team performance, skills development, employment equity, talent, and culture to foster innovation, efficiency, and increased competencies.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or Legal (Degree/BTech).
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with multiple stakeholders (internal or external).
    • Experience dealing with commercial clients.
    • Proven success in building relationships.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects.
