About the role

Discovery Green is looking for the very best person – an individual who lives and breathes the Discovery Values and thrives in exciting, new and challenging environments. The Discovery Green Relationship Manager manage the full onboarding journey for businesses with businesses on their journey towards emission reductions, starting with renewable energy wheeling. This will include working closely with approved intermediaries where appropriate.

Key Outputs / Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional new business and onboarding experience for Discovery Green and Ampli Energy clients – accurate, personalized, warm and effective through multiple channels e.g. email, calls, chat
  • Onboard and manage Discovery Green intermediaries, including IFAs, Tied Agents, Originators, the Purple Bank Referral Program and the Discovery Employee Referral Program
  • Manage accessing of electricity data from Eskom counterparts as well as processing of data
  • Enable Finance to onboard clients and help provide monthly information to support financial flows
  • Support management of installing and integrating qualifying electricity meters at clients’ sites
  • Become an expert on the Discovery Green and Ampli Energy products and their mechanics.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the team
  • Build strong working relationships across internal and external teams to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 - 4 years’ work experience within Discovery

Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body

  • Honours degree preferred

Technical Skills or Knowledge

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), and CRM tools (Smart Track, DNA Campaign Tracker and Paradigm)
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills (correct, clear, on-time, concise) to our clients and internally and external stakeholders
  • Very strong administration and organisational skills
  • Solutions oriented with an optimistic can-do attitude
  • Positive and willing to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
