Job description

Primary Purpose

To generate revenue for Bidvest by sourcing new clients and proactively managing the account to maximize profitability.

To grow and retain a portfolio of high-value banking relationships by providing proactive, value-adding partnership and banking solutions to maintain and expand the existing customer base. Develop and sustain important revenue-generating client relationships within the defined affluent market segment.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
FINANCE
SALES
  • Proactively cold call and find new clients to meet monthly revenue targets.
  • Educate and promote Bidvest’s full product offerings to maximize revenue.
  • Manage profit margins by providing clients with rate comparisons and securing the best rates.
  • Track, control, and influence sales activities to increase team efficiency.
  • Grow the client base through targeted new acquisitions to achieve sales targets.
Portfolio Management
  • Monitor, report on sales activities, and take action to meet targets.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and develop understanding of client needs.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and gather customer feedback on products.
Risk Management
  • Comply with legislative and audit governance requirements.
  • Understand clients' risk profiles and optimize product mix accordingly.
CLIENT
Client Service
  • Anticipate and interpret client needs to promote Bidvest Bank and close deals.
  • Provide timely, relevant solutions based on client research and economic insights.
  • Deliver excellent service to foster client referrals and new business.
  • Serve as the primary contact, ensuring high service levels and relationship retention.
  • Engage regularly with clients to address their needs proactively.
  • Assist clients with optimal product usage and renewal processes.
  • Educate clients on systems and processes for efficient interactions.
  • Stay informed about market and economic trends to advise clients effectively.
  • Manage client onboarding, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
Admin Support
  • Provide reports to track progress.
  • Review and update client files.
  • Maintain client interactions on CRM systems.
INTERNAL PROCESSES
Process Management
  • Build relationships with legal, credit, internal bankers, back office, and Treasury to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate with legal and credit to ensure documentation is complete.
  • Assist with SARB applications.
  • Follow up to resolve queries timely.
Training
  • Manage personal development and competencies.
  • Complete all product and mandatory training, including compliance with FICA, PoPI, and FAIS.
  • Stay updated on legislation and market trends.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Matric
  • National Diploma in Finance or Banking Certificate
  • BCom in Banking, Finance, or Commercial
  • RE5 certification (completed within the specified timeframe)
Experience

Minimum three years of sales experience in financial services or business banking, including account management.
