Job summary

FirstRand Bank India, part of FNB Commercial Financial Advisory Growth Channel in Cape Town, seeks a Credit Analyst to support lending decisions through in-depth credit analysis and risk assessment. You will back client relationships with insights for responsible financial solutions and sound risk management.

You will work with a team focused on delivering growth, exceptional service, and governance, while maintaining data integrity and complying with policy standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in advisory environment or financial services
• Ability to resolve customer queries and complaints with quality outputs
• NQF 6 finance qualification or higher required
• Advisory industry knowledge or related diploma preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit data to estimate risk for lending decisions
• Support growth of the client portfolio and revenue vs budget
• Deliver exceptional customer experience per Balanced Scorecard
• Act as primary contact for defined customer portfolio
• Address and resolve customer complaints to the customer’s satisfaction
• Grow active customer account base and cross-sell opportunities
• Ensure governance and audit compliance in processes
• Prepare credit proposals for review by Credit Product House
• Stay updated on market trends and credit policy
• Invest in own development to enhance competencies

To support the business by conducting in-depth credit analysis credit analysis to evaluate risks associated with lending decisions. • Analyses credit data to estimate degree of risk in extending credit or lending money in support of a broader client relationship
• Year on year revenue growth versus budget for team portfolio
• Achieving the delivery of exceptional customer experience against the Balanced Scorecard standards
• Act as the point of contact for the defined customer portfolio.
• Deal with customer complaints and ensure that it is resolved to the satisfaction of the customer
• Manage the growth of active customer Account Base to increase client base
• Ensures a competent portfolio management as well as asset and liability growth
• Achieving the delivery of exceptional customer experience against the Balanced Scorecard standards
• Manage the growth of active customer Account Base to increase client base
• Maximise Business Portfolio cross sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships
• Convert identified leads into successful sales
• Achieve individual targets as set according to appropriate business area or sales plan
• Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
• Manage the % of facility documents outstanding in excess of 60 days after renewal as measured by Collateral team per BS Team / region based on facilities approved and documents submitted
• Ensure effective Data Management by ensuring expired limits are attended to against set target
• Prepare credit proposals for review by the Credit Product House
• Compliance with procedures and processes
• Keep abreast with what’s happening within the market place and more specifically with regards to process and credit policy
• Manage own development to increase own competencies

Additional Requirements:

• Advisory Industry knowledge or Finance related Diploma
• Ability to support a Financial Advisor
• Experience working in an Advisory environment
• Ability to resolve customer queries and complaints
• Ensure quality and accuracy of outputs
• NQF 6 in financial management or financial qualification
• 3+ min experience in a Financial Advisory support role or Financial Analyst role
