Job summary

An international chemical manufacturing company seeks a Regulatory and Compliance Specialist in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a B Degree in regulatory or compliance fields, along with 5 years of experience. Qualifications

Introduction

Our client, an international chemical manufacturing company, seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Regulatory and Compliance Specialist responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations associated with the sale of chemical products.

Qualifications:

• Must have a BDegree in regulatory, compliance, or risk specialization, or a BSc/BTech in Chemistry or Engineering with at least 5 years of experience as a regulatory compliance specialist at an MHI or similar.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong regulatory and compliance background with advanced knowledge of corporate governance requirements and South African regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of product regulations such as NSF, FDA, Halaal, Kosher, BfR, REACH, and Food Safety.
• Advanced understanding of relevant legislation and standards including non-proliferation of explosive materials, Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993), ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and GHS-related requirements for SDS, labels, and tremcards.
