Federated Employers Mutual Assurance Company is seeking a Registry Team Leader for their Head Office in Rosebank, Gauteng. The role involves overseeing claims registration, ensuring operational efficiency, and mentoring a customer service team. Candidates should possess a matric certificate, relevant qualifications, and extensive experience in the sector, with a focus on legislation like COIDA.
FEM is looking to appoint a Registry Team Leader at our Head Office. As the Registry Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding the registry team to ensure the accurate registration and indexing of claims in accordance with COIDA. You will champion operational efficiency, data quality, compliance, and team development—playing a pivotal role in supporting FEM’s mission to provide exceptional service to our policyholders.
The position will oversee and evaluate claims registration and ensure adherence to turnaround times, monitor document indexing and implement quality assurance practices, manage and mentor a team of Customer Service Administrators, conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching, maintain data integrity and confidentiality in all processes, provide reporting, insights, and recommendations based on trend analysis, engage with stakeholders and resolve registry-related queries and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Applicants should hold a matric certificate and/or a relevant post-school qualification, with a minimum of five years’ experience in injury-on-duty claims or a related environment. In addition, at least two years’ experience in data capturing and two years in a team leadership and performance management role are required. A valid driver’s license is essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of COIDA, RAF, OHS, and POPIA legislation; proficiency in internal systems and data capture tools; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail; and sound analytical thinking. Familiarity with ISO standards and principles of risk management will be an added advantage.
