Job summary

Brightshores Health System in Lion’s Head is seeking a Casual Registered Practical Nurse to promote health, assess patients, and provide care across acute and rehabilitative settings.

You will deliver supportive, preventative, therapeutic and palliative care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal function and patient safety.

This role requires flexibility to work all shifts and a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility.
• Ability to interpret basic arrhythmia.
• Willingness to work in Emergency as required.
• Current certification in or willingness to obtain BCLS.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Assessment and interviewing skills.
• Willingness to escort patients via ambulance services when required.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to quality improvement.

WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157

Reporting to the site Manager, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care of, and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means to patients in order to attain or maintain optimal function.

QUALIFICATIONSRequired:

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
• Ability and willingness to learn basic arrhythmia interpretation
• Willingness and ability to work in Emergency as required
• Current certification in or willingness to obtain: BCLS
