Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a locum Registered Nurse to join a hotel clinic in Cape Town for a few months, starting as soon as possible. The role involves assessing patient conditions, providing accurate clinical evaluations, and maintaining records. Candidates must be SANC registered and have 1-3 years of experience. Strong interpersonal skills and fluency in English and Afrikaans are essential. This position operates Monday to Friday from 8h00 to 16h00, with no weekends or public holidays.

Qualifications

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, medical situations and vital signs as needed.
• Accurate clinical evaluation of patient complaints, including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain accurate reporting and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Deliver appropriate information to healthcare users in a manner that is sensitive to their conditions.
• Explain the potential side effects of medication and provide advice on prescribed medication.

Our client requires a locum Registered Nurse to be based at a hotel clinic in Cape Town joining as soon as possible to locum for a period of a few months or ongoing as required.

Requirements

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, medical situations and vital signs as needed
• Accurate clinical evaluation of patient complaints, including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
• Maintain accurate reporting and record keeping
• Deliver appropriate information to healthcare users in a manner that is sensitive to their conditions and level of understanding
• Explain the potential side effects of medication and provide patients with information and advice on prescribed medication
• Obtaining a patient history and performing physical examinations
• Interpreting findings and formulating a diagnosis for common and emergency conditions

Qualification

• Dispensing license (added advantage)
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience as Registered Nurse
• SANC registered

Working hours
