Job description

Our client, a market leader, is currently seeking to appoint a Regional Sales Representative, based in Johannesburg.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Microbiology or Food Science (preferred).

Minimum of 5 years’ proven sales experience in industrial hygiene chemicals or related products within the food and beverage industry.

Strong understanding of food processing, dairy, and beverage manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of food safety principles and regulations such as HACCP and ISO 22000 (advantageous).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the designated sales region.

Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities:

Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and industry research.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

Understand client requirements and offer tailored product solutions from the industrial hygiene chemical portfolio.

Conduct effective product demonstrations and presentations for both prospective and existing clients.

Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet and exceed sales targets.

Offer technical support and advice to clients on product applications and best food safety practices.

Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and relevant regulatory changes in the hygiene and food safety sector.

Compile and submit accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.
