Role Summary: Splunk is looking to hire an expert Enterprise Account Manager to join the team focusing on the South African Telecommunications market predominantly. Splunk is doing outstandingly well with enterprise data management software solutions that companies want to buy. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of that success in Splunk.

Job Role: You are hardworking and will consistently deliver adventurous license sales, support, and service revenue targets. You should have a strong reputation for exceeding sales quotas (top 10%-20% of your sales team/organization). Your focus will be on enterprise account penetration in the region, conducting effective account planning and opportunity management. You should be able to negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and return on investment. You will collaborate with partners and alliances in South Africa for maximum efficiency, work with sales engineering and in-house teams at Splunk, as well as partner services resources. You will build the Splunk sales methodology and processes optimally, work closely with both international and domestic colleagues to expand deal size and value, and provide timely feedback to other corporate functions, particularly product management and marketing data.

Must Have Qualifications: Experience in enterprise software selling within telecommunications enterprises. Successful in uncovering opportunities with net new and existing accounts via creative prospecting tactics. Ability to grow and scale upwards, with first-line management experience being a plus. Strong executive presence and well presented. Capable of making accurate forecasting commitments. Outstanding management, social, written, and presentation skills. Comfortable working independently and remotely. Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and/or analytics. Extensive use of CRM systems such as Salesforce. Proven success and knowledge with prospects and customers in the territory.
