Job description

The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving the regional sales and profitability goals.

This person will be responsible for customer satisfaction and market share within the geographical region.

Responsibilities:
  1. Providing quality leadership for internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding the company's values at all times, inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
  2. Achieving the Region's revenue and profitability quotas for the company's products as they are sold into all customer segments within the Region.
  3. Establishing an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
  4. Selling value and solutions to customers.
  5. Directing the selling activities within the Region, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions.
  6. Prioritising effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
  7. Responsible for the Region's forecasting and sales tracking.
  8. Setting the vision for the Region and developing and adhering to a business plan to attain this vision.
  9. Evaluating market trends and gathering competitive information, identifying trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  10. Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies Required:
  1. Post matric qualification supported by 5 years of sales experience.
  2. Working knowledge of forklifts and selling forklifts within an assigned sales territory.
  3. Proven record of achievement in a prior sales position.
  4. Strong closing skills.
  5. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses is a plus.
  6. Proven oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to learn and retain product-specific information and utilise it to present the features and benefits to customers.
  9. Knowledge of the Lift Truck industry is a plus.
  10. Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programs.
  11. Knowledge of Autoline / CRM system is an added advantage.
  12. Readiness for extensive travel in the region.
