Job Overview

We are seeking a results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to deliver regional sales targets, manage field operations, and lead a high-performing team for the Limpopo , North-West & Mpumalanga provinces. This role is pivotal in executing our client’s national sales strategy at a regional level, driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering team development. You will collaborate closely with the Channel Lead : Field Sales, providing market insights and ensuring strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales Execution & Growth

  • Implement the national sales strategy to achieve regional revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Drive new business acquisition, customer retention, and market expansion through strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor lead follow-up, conversion rates, and customer concerns via weekly in-trade visits.

Strategy & Planning

  • Partner with the Channel Lead : Field Sales to develop and execute regional sales plans, forecasts, and campaigns.
  • Provide real-time field insights to refine strategy, product positioning, and processes.
  • Data & Reporting

  • Analyse sales performance dashboards and KPIs to inform coaching, planning, and decision-making.
  • Deliver structured reports on team performance, customer feedback, and market trends, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and support.
  • Support compliance, data protection, and customer experience initiatives through consistent follow-up and issue resolution.
  • People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a regional sales team, setting clear expectations and fostering growth through regular performance reviews.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and operational needs (e.g., leave, expenses) in partnership with People Ops.
  • Create an empowering environment with accountability, autonomy, and clear career progression pathways.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications :

    Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years in sales leadership, managing team leads or first-line managers, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Strong experience in field operations, regional strategy execution, and customer engagement.
  • Industry Knowledge :

    Deep understanding of South Africa’s payments industry, including regulatory frameworks, pricing dynamics, and competitors.

    Technical & Analytical Skills :

  • Proficiency in sales systems (e.g., CRM, Booqa, BI tools) and interpreting sales data and KPIs.
  • Ability to drive team accountability using dashboards and metrics.
  • Leadership & Collaboration :

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and people management skills, with strong operational planning and prioritisation.
  • Confident communicator, able to align cross-functionally and represent regional needs to leadership.
